After Eva Perón’s death in 1952, her body was stored for three years, waiting for a mausoleum to be built – the resting place that was never completed. In 1955, the military took power in Argentina and hid Perón’s body from view for fear of uniting the country against them. But they had no idea that this made them even more dangerous in death than they were in life.
