Kate and John’s third child was stillborn. The tragedy shook their marriage, the woman sought refuge in drink. However, this has been over for a year. Kate and John decide to adopt a child. At the St. Marina orphanage, they meet nine-year-old Esther, who enchants them. Among his new brothers, the deaf-mute Max is enchanted, but he finds it difficult to get along with Daniel and fits in at school. More and more strange things are happening in the house, which Kate thinks is because of Esther. But John refuses to listen. The woman begins to investigate who was accepted into their family?
